Tourette Syndrome Genetic Study at Johns Hopkins

Johns Hopkins University is a part of a multi-site study to find the genes responsible for Tourette syndrome.  Locating genes will give them an understanding of the biology of TS and make individualized treatments possible. This research is funded by the NIH through the Tourette Syndrome Association and involves six participating university centers.

To be eligible to participate in this study, you must be diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, be 7 years of age or older.  Participating involves one visit to Johns Hopkins Hospital, completing questionnaires which are reviewed by a physician, giving a small amount of blood, and doing a short computer activity.  All participants are compensated $25 for their participation in the study.
