Man’s best friend can improve mental health

In the context of mental health, a service dog can help an owner to calm Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, anxiety, panic attacks, as well as other mental health disorders such as depression.

Depending on the need, dogs can be trained to conduct home searches, allowing owners to be assured there is no danger, turn on lights, lead distressed owners to safety, alert to seizures and interrupt OCD behaviors.
